Transgender Employees in New York Discrimination against transgender people in employment is still widespread, making it harder for us to keep jobs and have enough money to live. Laws now protect people from this kind of discrimination in New York.

TJobBank was launched in July 2008 to bring employers and transgender professionals together. TJobBank is a non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to the idea that everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a living. Job listings range from national corporations to local grassroots organizations, all of whom are activley seeking transgender employees. From the website:
"An increasing number of employers are finding that hiring transgender professionals is not only the right thing to do, it is the smart thing to do. Transgender people face rampant discrimination not only in employment but in housing and every other facet of life."
