Race and the Law – Black Lives Matter

At Brooklyn Law School, SRLP Membership Director Sasha Alexander will join a panel to present on the ways that trans and gender non-conforming folks of color can be empowered by the law and community organizing.

This year’s Race & the Law Week, themed “A Seat at the Table,” aims to bring light to the concerns of under-represented communities. The student initiated and led event will offer panels and teach-ins on Native American law, Black Lives Matter, the evolution of reparations, the criminalization of immigrants and the immigration system, civil liberties of those viewed as or mistaken for Muslim, and the worth of bodies of color.
