SRLP fights to stop sexual assault in detention

On May 10, 2010, SRLP submitted comments supporting regulations that would implement the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). We also urge the Attorney General to make certain important changes in the regulations to protect the rights of trans, intersex, and gender nonconforming people in terms of searches, placement, discipline, and release.
