Congratulations to Mariah and Lawyers for Children! A favorable ruling has just been granted in their suit against the Administration for Children's Services, which refused to provide sexual reassignment surgery for Mariah when her health care was their responsibility. SRLP is very excited about this landmark decision, which re-affirms that government institutions must be accountable for the health of people in their care, and recognizes that this responsibilty must include trans people and trans-related health care.
