How to get legal help from SRLP
2010 Drop-in Hours are Fridays 11am-3pm.
Intake interviews in Spanish are available between the hours of 1pm and 3pm on Fridays. Please schedule ahead if you need an interpreter for any other language.
The Sylvia Rivera Law Project provides free legal services to low-income people and people of color who are transgender, intersex, or gender nonconforming. We do intake for new cases during drop in hours. Clients are seen on a first come, first served basis. We often cannot see people who arrive during the last hour of drop in hours. Bring all papers you have about your case with you. If you have questions or cannot make it to any of these times, call us at 212-337-8550 and follow the prompts for legal help. We cannot see people without an appointment at any other time.
