 ou can get involved\, join us for a new member orientation on Tuesday\, Fe
 bruary 24th from 6-8pm.\n\n147th West. 24th Street (between 6th and 7th av
 e) 5th floor (you must buzz to come up\, building has elevator)\n\n [butt

 w member orientation is FREE and ALL are welcome**\n\nSnacks and Metrocard
 s provided\n\nTRAINS: F\, M\, E\, C\, R\, N\, 1\n\nWhat do members do?\n\n
 	Increase our skills and political education\, build community\, and work
  toward trans liberation with low-income people and people of color at th
 e center.\n	Join one of SRLP’s teams\, including the Movement Building T
 eam\, the Fundraising and Finance Team\, the Public Education Team\, the D
 irect Services Team\, and the Collective Development Team.\n	Attend member
 ship meetings\, events\, and workshops to develop and evaluate SRLP’s wo
 rk.\n\nHow do I become a member?\n\nCome to orientation! Orientations happ
 en four times a year at SRLP\, with one orientation geared towards people 
 for whom Spanish is their primary language. If you can’t attend an orien
 tation\, contact me at reina@srlp.org and you’ll be on your way!\n\nWhat
  do I get from being a member?\n\nYou get to deepen your involvement in SR
 LP\, participate in the work of shaping the organization\, and developing 
 your own leadership within the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.\n\nCan I still g
 et legal services if I am not a member?\n\nYes. If you are a transgender\,
  gender nonconforming\, or intersex person who is low-income and/or a pers
 on of color\, you can access free legal services at SRLP whether or not yo
 u are a member.\n\nDo I have to pay something to become a member?\n\nNo\, 
 SRLP members are not required to pay dues. We value all the ways that memb
 ers are able to support SRLP with time\, skills\, resources\, and dollars.
