Katherine will be joined by this year with speak ers Bamby Salcedo from the Translatina Coalition and Morgan Collado.\n\nTr ansfeminism - Saturday April 12\, 1:15-2:45 PM\n\nOur panel of trans women academics\, activists\, professionals\, and organizers will explore femin ism\, gender justice\, and the connections between trans liberation and re productive rights\, as well as the tensions and conflicts that have preven ted trans women from engaging fully with reproductive justice movements. P anelists will share their perspectives and experiences from working in soc ial justice movements\, from challenging assumptions about gender and sexu ality to their work advancing more expansive and intersectional politics a round feminism and gender justice.\n\nAbout the Speakers\n\nBamby Salcedo is the HIV Prevention Services Project Coordinator with Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Bamby is the founder and President of The Trans-Latin@ Coali tion. Ms Salcedo is a proud Latina transgender woman who is recognized nat ionwide for her advocacy work related to trans issues\; Bamby is also work ing with The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) developing a blue pri nt on how to provide health care services for trans people in Latin Americ a and The Caribbean.\n\nKatherine Cross is a feminist sociologist and boar d member at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project. She has written and spoken exte nsively about trans-feminism\, reproductive rights\, gender on the interne t\, video games\, and trans women's political lives. Her work has appeared in Women's Studies Quarterly\, The Occupied Times of London\, and Bitch M agazine\, and she is a co-editor of the feminist gaming blog The Border Ho use.\n\nMorgan Robyn Collado is the latest in a long line of badass bitch es. She is walking in the footsteps of Audre Lorde\, Sylvia Rivera and her own mother to achieve the collective liberation of all peoples. Morgan ho pes to use her poems\, essays and stories to challenge\, inspire and incit e radical action.
