Lacey Lynch returns to the SRLP collective in her new role bringing deep experience as a compassionate leader and a fundraiser with bold vision for growing our sustainability.
As a native New Yorker and community member who established roots in the South, Lacey saw first-hand how vital obtaining self-affirming IDs are to the safety and livelihood of our TGNCI family members. Personally aware of the many injustices that are setup to challenge and oppress our communities while trying to navigate day to day; Lacey is beyond excited to rejoin the Sylvia Rivera Law Project as Director of Development & Finance. Her new role within the Collective will focus on the sustainability of SRLP’s mission, financial health while developing new opportunities for growth through grassroots fundraising.
She will be supporting membership and clients with their goals and leadership skills within the Fundraising & Finance Team. Her hopes are for our people to be free to self-determine and break the systematic chains of oppression; such as racial, economic and medical injustices. Lacey is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience with companies such as Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group and Carlson with a successful background in building strong service and revenue cultures. Previously she has worked as Director of Operations at SRLP and Consulting Director of Culture for The Grove Hotel & Ice Palace in Fire Island.
Always seeking to serve, in the past she has volunteered as Director of Community Engagement for Transcend Legal to help the TGNCI community obtain legal services in New York State – focusing on areas that resources are limited or nonexistent. Previously she has also volunteered with organizations such as Pride for Youth, TLDEF, PFLAG, HRC and Rotary International. Lacey looks forward to continuing the work our elders of Stonewall jumped started in 1969, knowing that Liberation happens when we show up for each other, hold space, break bread and have uncomfortable conversations in a caring way.
