Pooja Gehi on “From Stonewall to Stop and Frisk: Police Violence, Government Misconduct, and the Criminalization of LGBTQ Communities,” a day-long institute at Creating Change

This Institute will explore the current moment and historical legacy of policing and criminalization of LGBTQ communities. Participants will discuss patterns of police violence and criminalization of LGBTQ communities across the country. The Institute will highlight various campaigns and organizing models across the country to provide resource sharing and tools for participants to organize against police violence in their communities.
