Calling all volunteers! Sylvia Rivera Law Project’s biggest event of the year, the 10th year anniversary of Small Works for Big Change, is coming up on August 28th. We need all hands on deck to make this art benefit a success. If you’re interested in volunteering a day or two to help fund our free legal services for trans, gender non-conforming people who are low-income and/or of color and movement building costs, swing by on Friday 8/19 at SRLP’s office from 6 – 7:30 pm to sign up for a task. We need support with registration, bar-tending, art installation/de-installation, art wrapping, security, raffle tickets selling and more. There will also be a zine-making session for Small Works for Big Change happening simultaneously during the volunteer sign-up that you could take part in.
Register for the volunteer session here
If you couldn’t make it to the volunteer session, go to www.srlp.org/smallworksvolunteer to sign up for a shift and someone will get back to you shortly with more details. There is a mandatory volunteer training on August 26th at SRLP, but contact Ethan at ethan[at]srlp.org if you couldn’t make it to the training.
