Let’s all come together the way that we know how to honor one of our respected elders.
INFO:
Help us bring the legendary Stonewall veteran, Miss Major to New York so we can name a
building in her honor!
In 2010, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Audre Lorde Project, FIERCE, and Queers for Economic Justice moved to a shared building at 147 W. 24th street, Manhattan, where we were later joined by Streetwise and Safe – a project by and for youth of color in New York City. We came together because we recognized the need to expand our ability to provide crucial resources to queer and trans people of color and low-income people in New York City.
Please help us raise enough funds to bring Miss Major and her personal care assistant from San Francisco to New York. We absolutely cannot imagine hosting this ceremony without this Stonewall Veteran, our namesake present in person. This is a rare opportunity to not only honor Miss Major’s legacy, but also to celebrate the radical work of these organizations.
