SRLP Honors 45 Years of Resistance and Revolution!

Today marks the 45th anniversary of the night Sylvia Rivera and hundreds of other trans and queer people fought back against the police raid at Stonewall. To honor their legacy, the Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to end the discrimination and violence that low-income trans people and trans people of color continue to face at the at the hands of police, courts, immigration authorities, prisons, government agencies, healthcare providers, and employers on the daily.

Will you join us in carrying forward this powerful legacy by making a donation today?

Your donations make it possible for us to change New York State’s discriminatory exclusion of transgender healthcare from Medicaid, to reduce isolation and improve conditions for trans and gender nonconforming people in prison, and to increase access to basic needs by providing free legal services to over 400 community members every year.

Give $45 in honor of 45 years!

Thank you for your commitment to keeping this legacy alive!
